Radioactive Iodine Blankets Much of Europe … Everyone Points Fingers

Radioactive Iodine is Blanketing Much of Europe

Reuters notes that elevated levels of radioactive iodine have been detected in Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

The Stockholm News reports that Denmark and Poland are also experiencing heightened radiation.

NHK notes that Russia has been hit as well.

AP notes that the radioactive releases are ongoing:

An official [from the International Atomic Energy Agency] familiar with the matter, who asked for anonymity because he was not authorized to comment, said the release appeared to be continuing.

Some scientists have made some unlikely claims about the source of the radiation. For example, as Reuters notes:

Professor Malcolm Sperrin, director of medical physics at Britain’s Royal Berkshire Hospital, said any link with Fukushima was extremely unlikely.

“It is far more likely that the iodine may be as a result of excretion by patients undergoing medical treatment. Whilst such patients are carefully controlled, some release of iodine into the environment may be inevitable but would certainly be well below any limits where health detriment would even begin to be an issue for concern,” he said.

(It is unlikely that patients in so many countries would all start excreting more radioactive iodine at the same time.)

The Czechs deny responsibility, but are sending mixed signals. As AP notes:

In Prague, an official at the Czech State Office for Nuclear Safety said he was “100 percent sure” that the radiation had not come from any Czech nuclear power plant — or from any other source on Czech territory.

[However,] speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to talk to the media, the official said tests are under way around the country to try and identify the source.

The Czechs are betting heavily on nuclear power and have plans to dramatically increase production ….

Poland is trying to blame Pakistan for the radiation; but a Pakistan government official denies the allegation.

All of the mainstream commentators dismiss Fukushima as a potential source. However, Fukushima is still far from any stable shutdown – and is still apparently undergoing nuclear reactions (and see this, this and this).

So – while we don’t have any idea where the radiation is coming from at this point – it is too early to rule out Fukushima.

does this stuff cause your skin to break out and itch or is that from the chem trails, cause now there messing with me if i ever find out the spraying is causing my problems our useless leaders will be in deep shit

  2. Anyone Quick to Dismiss is Suspect. There are reports of reactions still occurring in Japan. The corium has seeped down into the foundations of the plant and can be reacting at different levels compared to the first onset of releases. The Jet Stream would carry the iodine … FAST. All northern EU countries, interesting, super-impose the jet stream? I know monitoring in the us is blacked-out, and the curious “BS release” of PR from Tepco Officials is SUSPECT.

In any case, if these Idiots are too stupid to know where it came from, then perhaps, they need their toys taken away, because they are too irresponsible and corrupt to have them. Additionally, these peope are ignorant as low levels of any radiation are indeed harmful and can cuase genetic chromosome mutation, Thyroid Disease and CANCER over YEARS! I hear this Japanese mess is slated for 30-years???? WTF!!!! Perhaps, they are trying to sterilize the earth? That’s not a humorous statement either!!!

Anyone who says Radiation is Harmless is a Brainless Idiot. Dental x-rays (if shielding is not properly placed) can fry your gonads. That’s as Low level as it gets; however, injesting hot particles … THAT’S A WHOLE-NOTHER ANIMAL and FAR MORE DANGEROUS AT LOW LEVELS.

Any so Called Professional must be asked for their medical license. You cannot pass state boards without understanding that low levels of radiation are extremely dangerous! A medical professional cannot lie, or they jeopardize licensure. These “HOMER SIMPSON’S” touted by media are not experts!

I’d bet a few fiat “dollars” that it’s being sprayed. If it were coming from Japan, it would be all over the intervening land, as well. If it is coming ONLY from Japan, please realize that Japan is roughly the same distance from North America as it is from Europe. If I’m not mistaken, the Jet Stream blows from west to east in the northern hemisphere. But North Americans will surely be kept in the dark, either which way. We’re probably getting the same poison from our own weekly/daily doses of chemtrails already.
