There Was 500 Percent More Support for the Iraq War than a Syrian War

Americans Aren’t Buying It

Everyone knows that the Iraq war was a mistake.

Before the Iraq war started,  60% of the American public backed the war. Even if the U.N. Security Council had rejected a resolution paving the way for military action, 54% of Americans would have favored a U.S. invasion.

Why?

Because the U.S. falsely claimed that Saddam Hussein was connected with 9/11.

In contrast, only 9% of the American public supports the Syria war.  That is less than one-sixth of the support for the Iraq war … even assuming rejection of the Iraq war by the U.N. Security Council.

Indeed, Americans would rather have a root canal or a colonoscopy than bomb Syria.
